Monkey D. Luffy and Koby find Roronoa Zoro tied up and starving. A little girl climbs over the wall to offer him a rice ball when Hermep, the son of Colonel Morgan – the head of the Marine base – shows the fear and power that his father’s name gives him. Rika explains to Luffy that Zoro is tied up because he stood up to Hermep for her and her mother, and that all three would be pardoned if he could survive a month, a promise Hermep does not intend to keep. Luffy infiltrates the base to search for Zoro’s sword, but he finds three of them, and escapes the base in time to save Koby and Zoro from Morgan’s men’s gunfire.
